12/11/2010
Rode at Srawberry rivrt area for around 3 hours. There was a lot of sage still showing but not to bad of coverage. Was able to do a few big jumps off the hill and watched as Jake went huge time and time again off the hill. It was cool to see a hill with almost all the tracks made by him going up the hill and none coming down,

Skyline 12/6/2010
Snuck out of work around 1:30 and met up with Sal for the long ride up to Skyline. As we got closer the clouds where looking thick up abouve Fairview. We had drove this far so we committed to drive to the top and see what happened. There was some patches of blue sky that gave us hope. When we arrived visibility was bad. There was a fresh couple of inches of what looked like styrofome balls. Just in time it cleared out and we rode in awesome conditions for 1/2 hour. The clouds moved in again and I folded up my kite. Just as we were about to leave we noticed a faint patch of clear sky moving in. within five minuits we were back in action riding the lower flats in pretty good wind and watching an amazing light show as the sunset came through the clouds. All in all a awesome hour of riding!

Herriman after work
Missed a good day at Strawb. While others where up there getting the goods I was stuck at work. I left an hour early to hit Herrriman and was able to get a very light wind ride for about a half hour. Not worth missing work over. Snow coverage is good and I hope to get a few rides there this season.

11/27/skyline
First real day out kiting other than a quick ride in the West Jordan fields. Snow coverage was a bit thin but most areas where acessable. Rode my new 15m M3. This kite has a lot of pull and is fun to jump with. I wish it would loop a bit tighter to climb the hills. Lots of kiters out today. I took a bunch of pis but the lighting was a bit flat.
Fisrt day at Skyline for me this season

From last post till now
3 skunks in a row. Deer Creek and SSB. New rule if Billy thinks it will blow check other sources first. He always thinks it will blow as he is always overly optimistic. He calls me a pessimist but that's OK I think he is delusional.
Anyway I am going nuts with a new surfboard in the back of my truck and nowhere to ride. I hope today is the day.

SSB 9/23skunk
On my way home from work and got a call from Sal saying many kiters on the way to SSB. Did a U-turn and headed out. It looked not promising all the way there. My phone had died at work so no access to any forcast. I was sure these guys had seen something good. Nope flat water and it only built to a slight breeze. It was good to have a couple beers with some friends and watch Ryan try and kite with his Costco SUP. All in all it was a waste of gas.
9/20 SSB
Great wind last night. Flew the 13m. Perfectly powered. Amazing sunset through the smoke of the Herriman fire. At least something good came from it. Filled my memory chip on the camera before it got real cool looking. Anyway nice to see a bit more beach but the place is a mess with more couch burning. Flat water area is closed. Also flew the 13.5 Kahoona. Very nice kite with a very different feel than the Instinct.
